An Ideal Environment for Learning and Change
YouFirst is designed for YOU to experience along with a small group of peers the best conditions for ideal learning and positive change. The YouFirst environment is a safe, supportive, fun, nurturing and collaborative. The program is designed so that YOU will experience spacious time to sense, feel and immerse in your own learning, embodying and transformation. The more YOU embody the capacities, skills and tools that create learning, the better YOU can inspire learning and be a beacon to upgrade nervous systems by just being YOU. Yes, YOU are uniquely positioned to reinforce and advance your child’s learning. Come learn to make unlimited possibilities real for yourself and your child.
A Robust Community of Possibility and Mutuality
Join a group of like-experienced adults who have a child or more with neuro-developmental needs —cerebral palsy, brain injury, stroke, developmental delays, neurodiversity, cognitive issues as well as speech, feeding, swallowing, visual and auditory issues and seizure disorders. Together, YOU will create a culture of safety for sharing, learning, unburdening, understanding, empathizing, supporting, breathing more fully, and co-creating possibilities and dreams.
It Takes a Village
None of us can do it all or figure it all out for us and/or our child. Suzi is constantly weaving other modalities into the community of care for the children with whom she works. Among those modalities is Masgutova (MNRI), Quantum Reflex Integration (QRI) and Cranial Sacral Therapy. In addition, Suzi consults with specialists at the MindEye Institute in Northbrook, IL, as well as with Suzanne Evans Morris, PhD, speech-language pathologist, specializing in pre-speech and feeding disorders and Dr. Paul Jordan, a retired physician-surgeon in pediatric biomechanics and orthoses, who specialized in working with children with neuromuscular and neuromotor disorders. You will learn about these specialities and surgical procedures such as Selective Percutaneous Myofascial Lengthening (SPML)/alcohol blocks and how they can help you and your child. Equipment, toys and other modalities that can support your child’s progress and ease in living will also be discussed.
