Personal Trainer | Pilates Instructor

Betty began her work in exercise and body movement over 20 years ago by leading group classes in the fitness industry. Betty is passionate about her work and loves to teach her clients to think, feel and become aware of how they move as they perform an exercise.

Betty was certified by ACE as a personal trainer in 1996 and was instrumental in bringing Pilates to several fitness centers on the North Shore of Chicago. She continued her certifications in Matwork (PhysicalMind 1998 and Movement Education 2003), and she completed her studio training and certification in 2004. Betty also holds a certification from Polestar Pilates on the use of the Reformer.

Betty is one of the most creative and knowledgeable fitness instructors and movement coaches in Chicago. She is constantly creating new ways for her clients to learn to feel how they move in an exercise. As they learn, they become more functional and healthy in all their daily activities. Her individual approach to working with each client has brought her a large and dedicated following.

Betty is a certified practitioner in The Anat Baniel Methodsm, an evolution of the work of Moshe Feldenkrais® (2009). She completed her ABM advanced training and mastery level work with children as well as the Anti-aging and Vitality program in 2010. She has taught Pilates at Mindful Movement for over 11 years and The Anat Baniel Methodsm for 2 years.

Betty is also the owner of Five Lines, a company integrating mind and movement through the use of the five cardinal lines of the body.
